Nick Abraham is a Portland-based artist and illustrator by way of Michigan. His intricate marker drawings are reminiscent of classic alternative comix artists like Ed Roth, George Dunning, and R. Crumb, but with a psychedelic intelligence, level of rendering, and contemporary viewpoint that caught our eye. In this book he explores an iconography of cults, klans, conspiracy theories, subcultural fashion, and internet celebrity in a series of new drawings that use lowbrow imagery to express the physical and mental toll of a stressed public living under a failing government.
